PRE-CONTRACT INFORMATION
The website https://berceo.com is property of INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE SALAMANCA, C.B. with commercial brand Academia Berceo salamanca, CIF E37299377 and address: Calle Pedro Cojos 7 local 37001 Salamanca- Spain.
The General Conditions of Contract regulate the distance selling relationship between INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE SALAMANCA and the customer, in accordance with the legal stipulations, in particular, Law 7/1998, of 13 April, on General Conditions of Contract, Law 3/2014, of 27 March, which amends the revised text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users, the current and applicable regulations on the Protection of Personal Data, Law 7/1996, of 15 January, on the Regulation of Retail Trade, and Law 34/2002 of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce.
INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE SALAMANCA C.B. reserves the right to make changes it deems appropriate, without prior notice, to the General Conditions. These modifications may be made through its website by any means admissible by law and shall be binding for as long as they are published and are not validly modified by subsequent ones. However, INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE SALAMANCA reserves the right, in certain cases, to apply Specific Contracting Conditions in preference to these General Conditions, announcing them in due time and form.
The purpose of the company and its website are language classes and accommodation bookings for students.
The duration of the contractual relationship shall be linked to the completion of the contracted services.
As a user or client, you expressly declare that you know, understand and accept the conditions of use and these general contracting conditions. Likewise, you declare that you are of legal age and have the necessary legal capacity to access the website and contract through the same.

In accordance with the provisions of the current and applicable regulations on Personal Data Protection, BERCEO SALAMANCA informs users that the personal data collected during the registration process and subsequent purchase, will be introduced into the processing system under its responsibility, in order to process these actions by the user and manage subsequent actions derived from them. The processing of this data is necessary for the correct execution of the contractual relationship between the client and BERCEO SALAMANCA. You also have the possibility of exercising your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition by writing to the address C/ Pedro Cojos 7 local 37001 SALAMANCA (SPAIN) or by e-mail to berceo@berceo.com. Until you inform us otherwise, we will understand that your data have not been modified, that you agree to notify us of any changes and that we have the consent to use them in order to be able to maintain the loyalty of the relationship between the parties.
Once the booking/purchase process has been completed, the customer will receive a confirmation of the same by e-mail. It is essential that during the purchase process the user indicates a valid email address. If you do not receive the confirmation within 24 hours from the end of the service, please contact BERCEO SALAMANCA by calling the customer service number 34923213564 or sending an email to berceo@berceo.com.
Before the service is provided, the client will receive an email with the confirmation of the requested service and the necessary information. Once the service has been provided, the client will receive the corresponding invoice.
Information before booking/purchase
BERCEO SALAMANCA informs that the booking procedure through its website is detailed in the corresponding section for the formalisation of the booking/enrolment.
The student/client expressly declares that he/she knows, understands and accepts the conditions of use and the General Conditions. In the same way, the user declares to be of legal age and to have the necessary legal capacity to access the berceo.com website and the contracting through the same.
Once the reservation has been made, the user will see the confirmation of the reservation on the screen, being able to print it as proof of the reservation made. Both the booking confirmation and the booking receipt will not be valid as an invoice.
REGISTRATION/RESERVATION OF SERVICES
In compliance with current legislation and, in particular, with Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce, BERCEO SALAMANCA offers the necessary information on possible reservations, characteristics and prices in the corresponding section for the formalisation of the reservation/enrolment. However, it reserves the right to withdraw or change the offers offered on the website. In this way, the services offered at each moment by the web berceo.com will be governed by the General Conditions in force in each case. Likewise, the company will have the right to stop offering, without prior notice and at any time, access to the aforementioned services.
Prices
Each possible reservation offered will have its price indicated, including taxes. The prices indicated on the screen will be those in force at any given time, except in the case of typographical errors. When the price is different for any of the above reasons, the school will inform the client by e-mail.
In the event that a reservation is not available at any time, BERCEO SALAMANCA will send an email to the client informing them that the service or offer is not available.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation can only be booked by those clients who book a Spanish course.
This service is always subject to availability on the part of the accommodation providers. In case of unavailability, the school will notify the client by email informing him/her of booking options outside the school.
If a student wishes to extend his/her stay, he/she should contact the school. The school will arrange the extension of the accommodation.
Changes of accommodation are not permitted without a justified reason.
There are rules regarding the accommodation service that the client/student must abide by.
BERCEO SALAMANCA will provide the student, at least one week before the beginning of the course, with all the information about the accommodation: address and telephone number. The student must inform the accommodation contact of the day/time of arrival so that he/she can be met and given the keys.
Arrivals are on Sundays and departures on Saturdays, before 12 noon. Arrival or departure on days other than those mentioned above is possible, provided that the nights used are paid for.
COURSES
The minimum age to be able to book one of the courses is 18 years old. Minors will only be accepted in special cases. Students under 18 years of age must have their legal representative accept the terms and conditions of BERCEO SALAMANCA.
The maximum number of students per class is 10 and the minimum is 4. If the number of students per class is less than or equal to 4, the school reserves the right not to open or to cancel the course. In this case the student is entitled to a refund of the full amount in case of not opening the course and having paid the course fee or the amount corresponding to the remaining number of weeks of their enrolment. The school also offers the possibility of taking the course in classroom or hybrid format during the following 6 months if you do not wish to receive a refund.
Once the enrolment or purchase of the course has been made, the client/student will be sent all the information about the contracted course, indicating the payment made at the time of enrolment: a deposit of 150,00€ which will be deducted from the total amount of the course or the full payment if it has been made. The course must be paid 8 days before the start of the course.
Before the start of the course BERCEO SALAMANCA will send the student a placement test in order to assign him/her to the group that best suits his/her level of Spanish. This test will be completed by the student at least 4 days before the first day of class.
BERCEO SALAMANCA will send all the information about the school and the course more than 7 days before the course starts.
Each class will have a duration of 50 minutes.
School timetable
The school will be open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00.
The timetable of the classes is:
-Semi Intensive course, from 09:10 to 12:10 hours.
-Intensive course, from 09:10 to 13:00 hours.
-Courses with Culture or Lexic, from 09:10 to 14:00 hours.
The school may change the timetable of classes to afternoon classes, with prior notice to users.
It is compulsory for students to comply with the established class and activity timetables, respecting the rest of their classmates.
BERCEO SALAMANCA will not hold classes or open the centre on days considered public holidays in the city of Salamanca, in the community of Castilla-León and on Spanish national holidays. These days can be consulted in the calendar in the handbook and on the website: berceo.com The student will not be able to demand any economic compensation for this.
First day of course
On the first day of the course, Monday, the student will come directly to the school at 09:00 and go to the secretary’s office, where the necessary formalities will be carried out and an informative meeting about the school, the course, etc. will take place. You will then be accompanied to your assigned class, where you will be able to start your Spanish classes directly.
The didactic material in digital format is included in the courses.
Certificates
All students who have completed a course at our school will receive a diploma at the end of their course, which follows the guidelines of the Instituto Cervantes in combination with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In order to obtain the diploma, it is compulsory to attend 85% of the classes. This diploma is not official.
BERCEO SALAMANCA is a SIELE examination centre. Any student can take any type of SIELE exam at our centre and obtain their official Spanish Certificate.
INSURANCE
The BERCEO SALAMANCA school has the regulatory and compulsory insurances according to its professional activity. All students are insured within the school itself against damages to third parties and civil liability. However, they are not insured against illness, accidents, damage, theft or loss of personal belongings, and we do not accept any responsibility for these incidents.
All students coming to take their course will have valid medical insurance. Citizens of the European Union and Switzerland must obtain the European Health Insurance Card, which is individual and certifies the right to receive health benefits during a temporary stay in any of the member countries. Students from other countries must take out international insurance valid in Spain.
The Berceo Salamanca School can process the application for medical insurance at the request of the student. The price of the service will be fixed by the insurance company and the student will be informed before contracting it.
SERVICES

In the event of an offer being made for a specific service, this will be indicated together with the special characteristics, price and validity of the offer.
In compliance with current regulations, BERCEO SALAMANCA offers information on all its services, their characteristics and prices. However, it reserves the right to withdraw, replace or change the services offered through its website, by simply changing the content of the same. In this way, the services offered at all times by the website will be governed by the General Contracting Conditions in force in each case. Likewise, the company has the right to stop offering, without prior notice and at any time, any of the services.
BERCEO SALAMANCA undertakes to offer the services contracted by the clients in the time and manner of provision according to their reservation.
In case of unavailability of a service, the school will notify the client by email at the time of knowledge of this situation. This notification will be made at the time of booking or in the case of a booking made within a maximum period of 30 days. In this case BERCEO SALAMANCA will be able to offer a service of similar characteristics or superior quality without increasing the price or refunding the amount paid by the client.
The reservation of the services offered by our school can be made on our website, via email, Whatsapp or by any available means.
The price of each service is specified in each of them on our website. In case of contact by email, the client will be informed of the price of each service before contracting them. All prices are offered in Euros and include VAT.

PAYMENT METHODS
The student/client may pay for the services by:
-Credit card
-Bank transfer
-Cash (only at the school)
Credit card
All transactions involving the transmission of bank and personal details are carried out in a secure environment with SSL security technology. Credit card details are entered directly on the bank’s website via the POS and are not recorded on any of the school’s servers.
During the card payment process the system will ask for: the card number, expiry date and validation code, printed on the back of the card. This data is entered directly by the user.
BERCEO SALAMANCA will never request this data. In the case of direct registrations through our e-mail that want to be paid by this means, the school will provide a specific url link to be able to pay directly on the bank page. All the data requested will always be entered by the user on the bank page.
Bookings made directly on the school’s website must be paid for by credit card only.
If the amount of a purchase has been charged by improper use of a credit card or fraudulently, the cardholder may demand the immediate cancellation of the charge. These charges will be made as soon as possible. However, if the purchase has been made by the cardholder and the demand for refund is not a consequence of the right of withdrawal, having demanded the cancellation of the charge, the customer will be obliged to INSTITUTO ESPAÑOL DE SALAMANCA to compensate the damages caused by this cancellation.
Bank transfer
BERCEO SALAMANCA will provide a valid and legal bank account number to all clients who request to pay for their services by this method of payment.
This account number will be provided via email. The school will never ask for the client’s bank details in the booking or purchase process. It will be the customer himself/herself who will carry out the bank transaction. However, in the case of refunds or reimbursements, BERCEO SALAMANCA will request a valid account number from the client in order to make the payment.
The customer must include their name and course date in the concept in order to identify the payment. The client must also notify the school of this operation in order to notify the client of the correct receipt of the requested payment.
All bank charges derived from these operations are the responsibility of the client/student.
CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND COMPLAINTS
Cancellations
Any cancellation must be notified in writing to BERCEO SALAMANCA.
Under no circumstances will a refund be made once the course has started. In exceptional cases of illness of the student or a close relative (certified by medical certificate) will be taken into account by the Management.
For cancellations more than 15 days before the start of the course, the school will refund the student the amount paid except 150,00€ (pre-enrolment) which will be kept in the student’s account for a possible online or classroom course, valid for up to 12 months.
For cancellations less than 15 days before the start of the course, the school will refund the student 60% of the amount paid, the other 40% will be kept in the student’s account for a possible online or face-to-face course, valid for up to 12 months.
BERCEO SALAMANCA reserves the right to cancel any course if the minimum number of students is not reached. In this case, the amount paid will be refunded.
If a student arrives later than the start date of their course, or during the course misses days of class at their own risk, they are not entitled to claim any type of financial refund or recuperation of the days from BERCEO SALAMANCA. When a student does not attend a class he/she will not have the opportunity to make it up. If for any reason a student has to miss a whole week of the course, he/she must notify the secretary’s office more than one week in advance, being able to make up the week, if necessary, at the end of the course in one of the existing groups.
In the event of a visa refusal, and after checking the refusal documentation issued by the Spanish Consulate, the school will proceed to cancel the course and refund the amount paid by the student minus 10% of the total amount paid for administrative costs.
Right of revocation
The customer has a period of 14 calendar days from the confirmation of the booking to cancel without penalty and without giving any reason.

Refund
For the reimbursement of the amounts received by the student, the same means of payment will be used. Any additional fees resulting from the operation will be paid by the student.
The refund will be paid within a period not exceeding 14 calendar days from the date of the resolution.
Complaints
Any customer can make a complaint either directly to the BERCEO SALAMANCA school located at Calle Pedro Cojos 7 37001 Salamanca (Spain) or by e-mail: berceo@berceo.com.
The centre makes available to any user the official complaint forms of the Junta de Castilla y León.
The relationship between the client and the company shall be governed by the regulations in force and applicable in Spanish territory. Should any dispute arise, the parties may submit their disputes to arbitration or go to ordinary jurisdiction in compliance with the rules on jurisdiction and competence in this regard.
