LA CELESTINA – SPANISH LITERATURE WORKSHOP (TALLER DE LITERATURA)
Inside our Spanish courses we’ve made a special Workshop of literature to talk about “La Celestina”, written by Fernando de Rojas, a student of Salamanca.
Due to our school is in Salamanca, Huerto de Calixto y Melibea is a good place to make an explanation about this literary work, a beautiful garden in the center of the city. Here, sitting in this garden, we’ve learned and enjoyed this masterpiece.
“La Celestina” was written by Fernando de Rojas, 1499, entittled “Tragicomedia de Calixto y Melibea”. Some researchers think the story takes place in Salamanca, but it’s still a riddle. However, in Salamanca, some places remember this wonderfull novel: Peña Celestina and Huerto de Calixto y Melibea. It is widely believed that this love story is developed here.
